8 When her father saw him coming, He flew in an angry way.
She gave him forty shillings To bear him far away.
9 He sailed East, and he sailed West All across the deep blue sea,
So safely he got landed In the wars of Germany.
10 This girl being a girl of honour With money in her hand,
She set her resolution
To visit some foreign land.
11 She went down to a tailor's shop And dressed all in men's gray, And laboured for the captain To bear her far away.
